Common Core is to Education as Obamacare is to Healthcare!

What Is The Common Core State Standards Initiative (CCSSI)? CCSSI is the effort that created and is attempting to impose on states a set of national K-12 standards (Common Core). Common Core was developed primarily by a nonprofit called Achieve, Inc., in Washington, D.C., under the auspices of the National Governors Association (NGA) and the Council of Chief State School Officers (CCSSO). The Standards cover mathematics and English language arts (although they also claim to cover “literacy” in other subjects such as science, history/social studies, and technical subjects). Currently, two consortia of states have accepted hundreds of millions in federal money to create national tests to align with the Standards.

Conceived in cooruption and funded by Bill Gates these national standards seek to remove our local school boards and bring every school under a central control in Washington D.C.  

The ciriculum dumbs down our children and puts them on a path to be laborers rather than thinkers.  

It is time to reverse course in Georgia and return educational sovereignty to its rightful owners- the citizens of Georgia.  The Governor still supports the Common Core standards and the aligned testing.

These standards are already being implemented in our schools along with the ciriiculum that is favorable to global citizenship, communism, and hostile towards American sovereignty,  

We are asking everyone to help light up the Governor's switchboard by calling his office (404-656-1776) at least once a week and asking if he has gotten us out of Common Core yet.  

Urge Gov. Deal to support state legislation to withdraw Georgia from the Common Core standards, any type of national or regional tests that is aligned with Common Core and any student data-tracking or data-sharing system that collects personally sensitive information. 

Status on Common Core:

Common Core is still being implemented in Georgia in every district.

S.B. 167 and S.B. 203 are active bills to stop Common Core and need to be passed during the 2014 General Assembly.

The Governor signed an Executive Order to halt some categories of data collection.  It is not sufficient, and not law.

The Governor has asked the State School Board to review the Common Core standards. Ask his office how you can be involved in this process.  

Thank you for making a difference! We cannot do this alone. It will take the prayers and efforts of each one of us to reverse course and return education sovereignty to Georgia citizens.
